About the Book: Lord Śrīman Nārāyaṇa, in the form of the sage Vedavyāsadeva, created the Śrīmad Bhāgavata Mahāpurāṇa, which is considered the “King of Purāṇas” and a text for the upliftment of all noble souls. This Purāṇa, containing 18,000 verses across twelve cantos, is likened to a fruit filled with the nectar of the Vedas. Traditionally, its teachings were passed from the sage Shuka to King Parīkshit. The text is believed to be the embodiment of Lord Krishna, who promised to reside within it during the Kali Yuga. The Bhāgavata is revered for its ability to navigate the vast ocean of wisdom through devotion and detachment, with each story of Lord Krishna and his devotees containing a deep spiritual truth.
